Our logo represents to us our commitment to graceful living here on earth.  After the events of 12/14, we asked our dear friend Kim Hossler to add 26 stars to orbit The Graceful Planet to honor those lost on that tragic day.
The Graceful Planet...
for creative self exploration and continued learning.
We believe movement should be fun and an expression of self.  We 
encourage self discovery and self confidence in all our dancers and 
yogis.
About the Teachers...
Grace Barton Harvey, is co-creator and its the Director of the 
Dance and Performing Arts Program at the center.  Grace holds a 
Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from the University of 
Hartford Hartt School.  Grace's training includes extensive study 
with the School of the Hartford Ballet, and in the Martha Graham 
Modern technique. Grace is also a member of the adjunct faculty at 
The University of Hartford's Hartt School in the Theater 
Department. Grace has performed in NYC and the surrounding areas with Off Center Dance Theater performing various solo and ensemble roles.Grace is also the Artistic Director of The Karma Dance Project and is an award winning choreographer.

Grace believes within every individual there is a dancer.


Angela Tiru teaches Hip Hop and Contemporary dance.  
Angela is also the choreographer for the Teen Hip Hop
Team, which has won multiple awards.  Angela is also a
Professor of Psychology at Naugatuck Community College.  
Angela and her husband are the proud parents of 3
children.
Ann Scaia, began her dance training in Ridgefield, CT under the tutelage of
Patricia Schuster of the Ridgefield Studio of Classical Ballet. Ms. Schuster imparted
her training at American Ballet Theatre which led to Ms. Scaia’s acceptance to
Mary Day’s Washington Ballet Company and School in Washington, D.C..  
The
Washington Ballet
is recognized world-wide for its excellence in classical ballet
training, its dedication to presenting the best in classical and contemporary ballet
and its devotion to bringing ballet to broad communities throughout the greater
Washington, DC region.

While there Ms. Scaia performed with the company in a variety of roles in the
Nutcracker, most proudly the role of Clara. After two intensive years of training with
Washington Ballet and two summers at School of American Ballet’s summer
programs, Ms. Scaia moved to New York City to train full time at School of
American Ballet.
The School of American Ballet, the official training academy of the
New York City Ballet, was established in 1934 by legendary choreographer George
Balanchine and philanthropist Lincoln Kirstein as the first and most essential step in
their quest to create an American classical ballet company. At The School of The
American Ballet,
 Ann gained rigorous training in the demanding Balanchine
Technique.
Kat Way Barton, is co-creator and resident yogini. Kat is a 500 hour Professional Kripalu Yoga teacher and holds certifications as a YogaEd teacher.  Kat is the creator of Yoga Together TM.  a multi- generational yoga for kids of all ages.

Kat’s mission is to create a relaxed atmosphere where ever she is teaching and to make Yoga and Movement fun and accessible to all.
